I have a mole on my cheek that is driving me insane. I want it removed really badly I have had a few moles removed on my body and now have scars. I do not want a scar like that on my face but I need to get rid of this mole. I guess that a dermatologist is the doctor to see for this. Did anyone ever have a facial mole removed for cosmetic reasons?

If a male has a large mole slightly above his penis, and wants it removed for cosmetic reasons, does he need to shave the pubic area around the mole?

And I know this is a dumb modesty question, but will the doctor need him to disrobe just to the mole keeping his boxers covering his genitals or remove the underwear farther?

I want to get a bunch of moles removed from my back for purely cosmetic reasons. I’m not sure how to go about it. I’m really embarrassed to talk about it, i don’t even take my shirt off because im self conscious. Since insurance wont pay for it should i just go see a plastic surgeon or go to a dermatologist, i don’t know which one is better. I just want to pay to have them removed, not tested which costs hundreds more. Can i tell the doctor its for cosmetic reasons so i just want them removed and not have to pay for 1000 in lab fees.

I have a lot of moles-A LOT-so many it would take me ages to check all of them, does this mean I have a higher chance of getting Melanoma? I’m really pale skinned and don’t go out in the sun much but I do want a tan this year. I’m not one of those people who’s scared to do anything in case they get cancer but I was just wondering if the fact I have so many moles puts me at higher risk.

I have got a few removed before (for cosmetic reasons) and I want to get more removed because they make me self conscious. So basically my question is-if I have a lot of moles does that make me more at risk of getting skin cancer (Melanoma) and if I didn’t have any moles at all (or got them all removed) would that mean there’s no way I could get Melanoma? My mum and nan have both had skin cancer if that makes any difference-but not Melanoma, one was Basal cell carcinoma and the other one I can’t remember but it wasn’t that serious. Thanks.

Well I have 2 moles just next to my lip which I’ve had all my life. I don’t want to sound vain or anything but they make me lose confidence in myself, sometimes if I’m talking to someone I can tell they are looking at them but it’s really starting to put me down. Covering them with makeup doesn’t work. They are raised and have never changed colour and I highly doubt they are cancerous. If I go to the doctors and tell them about how I feel would they remove them liek for cosmetic reasons? I really don’t mind paying at all, but how much would it be (In the UK)? and I really wouldn’t care if I got scars from them.BTW I’m 14. I am really trying to build up my cofindence to ask my parents to see if Ican get them removed in the school holidays. Here are some pictures the lighting makes them look less noticeble but you can see more in real life
