I am going to book an appointment at the doctors to have 2 moles removed, Both are the size of a rubber on the top of a pencil.
I have 1 RAISED mole on my neck which the doctor said he will freeze off, Can someone explain to me the precedure doctors do when they freeze of a mole DOES IT HURT? and DOES IT LEAVE A HOLE OR MARK OR SCAR UNDERNEATH?
The other mole is near the end of my hairline and i want it removed because i hate it when people stare at it, It is a FLAT mole so it is not posible to freeze it off right? so how will the doctor remove this one and does it also LEAVE A SCAR OR HURT?
FYI: i will schedule an appointment with a dermatologist, but wanted to hear public opinion first.
First off, i have a LOT of moles, and i’m pale skinned so they stand out. 25 years old. The ones on my face are spreading. A friend said that’s due to shaving. But i must shave for work!
I’ll point out the weird looking moles:
- i have one that is circular brown, but white in the middle with a hair coming out.
- i have a few huge dark round moles, ranging from mahogany brown to Dark chocolate brown (almost black).
- i have a purple-ish bruse? That is under my left pec/breast. And it seems to not go away (1 month +).
- same spot near the heart, are 2 new moles, both very different. One is protruding and looks more like a wart (brown). The other is flat but lighter in color and not symetrical.
- i noticed 2 bright red dots appear near the center of my chest, 2 weeks ago, still there.
Should i be worried? Or am i overreacting?
I have found a skin tag, or an acrochordon, in a very sensitive place. (Sensitive meaning to touch, and also as in sensitive to discuss/treat, if you know what I mean…). I have never noticed it before, for all I know it might be recent, and it hasn’t bothered me. But quite frankly it looks disgusting, and I want it removed. I don’t want a docotor to do it because I don’t want to spend the -200 dollars an appointment would cost and I’m interested in getting rid of it myself. I was wondering if anyone could suggest ways to remove it in a relatively painless fashion. Has anyone ever tied a skin tag with string yourself and have it fall off that way? How much does this hurt? Infection? I have also almost cut it off twice myself, but am worried about how much it will hurt. Has anyone done this? How much does this hurt? Once again, is there risk of infection? Ways of treating it while it heals? Any help is greatly appreciated. I feel incredibly self-conscious about it, even though no one will see it, and I want it GONE!
Doctor, not docotor. Haha.
I tan somewhat frequently in high-pressure (or high powered) tanning beds – anywhere from 1-3x a week. A little less than a week ago, I noticed that a mole on my thigh had grown a little and now has some jagged edges – it almost looks like a jagged flower. Two more I have found to have white patches in them, with one of those two have a hint of pinkish-red to it. Plus I am developing two tiny freckle-type moles that have suddenly appeared over the past two weeks. My dermatologist appointment is Monday to have them looked at. Does this sound like melanoma at all? I’m pretty nervous. Also, what is the typical treatment for abnormal moles?
I need to add something: I’ve only been tanning for a year or so, and try to reserve it for between April-October. This year, I’ve started in February, and I’ve started using some of the strongest tanning beds (think Tan Co.’s "level 5" beds) at least once every few weeks.
@Cyufu: This is not acne, you jerk. Melanoma and acne are not the same thing. This is something potentially serious, so I would appreciate it if you didn’t spam me.
Hello (:
I’m 15 years old & I’m a girl.
I’ve randomly started to develop raised moles.
My mother doesn’t have raised moles, but my father does.
I have about 2 on my shoulder that are small, and about three on my chest that
you can’t see, but if you went really close you could see. I have some on my breasts also, well only my left one, but they are also very small.
My question is that is it possible to get raise moles on your nipples? Because I think I have something similar to that on my nipple. Is that normal?
Another question…
I’ve had a discolored neck and stomach for about 3 years now, I’m not overweight or anything, I’m only 5’2 and weigh 117 lbs. I’m light brown and my stomach and neck are 3 shades darker than me, which is not normal, its really noticeable, like extremely noticeable. What do you think the reason for the discoloration is?My neck is dark, but it also has a dull pigmentation to it. Do you suppose its hormones? My mother is aware of this, and I have an appointment scheduled for next week. But any suggestions to what this?
