I have lots of moles, but this one concerns me. It’s perfently round and uniform in color, but some of it is raised and some of it isn’t There is a perfectly round raised part almost sitting on top an area of the same color. The mole has always been there, but I don’t remember the flat part being there before.

Well….you and I both know from experience that things can sneak up on you and go unnoticed until they progress further, so I would definitely get it checked to make sure that it’s benign. When moles change color or shape it’s definitely not ridiculous to have concerns and you should definitely have it checked out. Chances are it’s nothing but better safe than sorry!
If it concerns you, it’s not ridiculous. It’s always good to have them checked out.
