I was told as a child that because I had MANY severe sunburns (almost weekly from ages 7-16 in the Summer), I have blond hair, blue eyes, and lots of moles…that the doctors would be surprised if I DIDN’T get skin cancer eventually. I never thought much about it until now:
I have read about the ABCD’s of melanoma and I have several moles that fail them all. Two on my left upper thigh worry me the most, as they are almost completely flat, asymetrical, multi-colored, about the size of a pencil eraser, and getting worse by the day it seems (probably a little exagerated). Another is on my right thigh and the only reason it worries me is because it has a black border on one side. Another is on my belly and is almost flat, almost black (way darker than any of the rest), and a little bigger than a pencil eraser. I also have many other moles and freckles in various spots that have either black or white spots in them. I am going to the dermatologist on June 6th.
What do you think?
